Bladder Cancer Symptoms

Bladder cancer tends to be an aggressive malignancy and usually has obvious symptoms. We believe that the biggest risk factor for developing bladder cancer is a history of smoking, although nonsmokers can also be diagnosed. If you experience any of the following symptoms, please talk to your doctor about being tested for bladder cancer:

  • New onset abdominal pain
  • Blood in your urine
  • Progressive difficulty in passing your urine
  • New or unusual bone or back pain, with or without weight loss
  • New abdominal bulge or mass

To schedule an appointment with a UT Health bladder cancer specialist, call 419.383.6644.
