Working with Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center Patients

Every day, the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center’s research team is working to find a cure for cancer. Until we have a cure, we’re here to help you manage your cancer, your treatment, and the often profound effects they can have on your life.

We've designed our center with your experience in mind. Find support to help your mind and body as you navigate cancer treatment, as well as answers and techniques to manage cancer and cancer treatment side effects.

  • We offer a full education center with a library, cancer support group meetings and public education sessions.
  • Complementary and integrative therapies and specialized exercise classes are all geared toward wellness during and after treatment.
  • We've developed relationships with established organizations, like Carepages.com and the American Cancer Society's Look Good, Feel Better program to broaden your support system and enhance your recovery experience.

Our vision at The Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center s to treat not just the disease, but the person. To provide our patients education, screening and support, our staff works closely with the Center for Health and Successful Living, a survivorship center located on UT's Main Campus. Together, we promote survivors' ongoing health and wellness through physical, occupational, and talk therapy, group exercise programs, nutrition counseling, survivor networking events and educational activities, among other services.

Another resource available only at the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center is Renee's Survivor Shop, an on-site boutique that offers supplemental services to support your recovery. You'll find products to assist with side effects and the aftermath of chemotherapy and radiation, mastectomy prostheses, wigs and head coverings, as well as knowledgeable staff well-versed in helping survivors.
