Integrative Cancer Therapies

An important thing to remember as you progress through your cancer treatment is that you have choices. There are many complementary therapies, habits and lifestyle choices that can enhance the effectiveness of your cancer treatment and help you feel more in control of your path.

Therapy Dog Visits

Our therapy dog Porshia visits the Infusion Center on Wednesday afternoons.

Research has shown therapy dog visits have many benefits, including lowering blood pressure, decreasing pain and the need for pain medication, relieving anxiety, and lessening the symptoms of depression. It’s been found that therapy dog visits not only help those with physical and emotional needs, but also appear to benefit the patient’s family, as well as the clinical staff.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy During Treatments

Patients at the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center can now receive hand, foot and shoulder massages, accompanied by the use of aromatherapy oils, during their treatments. This service is provided at our Infusion Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

The Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center has partnered with The Victory Center to offer a variety of integrative therapies to their patients.
