Pediatric Allergy and Immunology

A comprehensive range of services is available in the fields of allergy and immunology, including evaluation and treatment of allergic rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, food allergy, stinging insect hypersensitivity, drug allergy, uticaria, immune deficiency, and immune complex diseases (systemic JRA). 

Pediatric Cardiology

The Division of  Pediatric Cardiology offers a full range of pediatric cardiologic diagnostic and therapeutic modalities including echocardiography, stress testing, holter monitoring, cardiac catheterization, and full pediatric intensive care support including artificial ventilation and other life support techniques. Division physicians are board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology and staff the only Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps center for pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular surgery in northwest Ohio. All insurance products are accepted.

Pediatric Developmental/Behavioral Division

The Development/Behavioral Section provides evaluations of infants and children who have symptoms which suggest a handicapping condition which, if present, will interfere with normal growth and development. Team approach includes professionals in pediatrics nursing, psychology, and social services. Medical, surgical, laboratory and therapy services are available for patients when indicated. 

Pediatric Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes Mellitus

Services include diagnostic evaluation, treatment, comprehensive education, counseling, and follow-up care by a pediatric endocrinology team. Our specialty clinics include: Pediatric Diabetes Care Center, Pediatric Endocrine and Metabolic Center, Pediatric Weight Management Program, and Pediatric Lipid Resource Center. Pediatric Genetics

The Northwest Ohio Associate Genetics Center, located in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Toledo Medical Center, is designated to serve an 11-county region of Northwest Ohio as part of the Ohio Department of Health's statewide genetics program. The center offers a comprehensive range of clinical services as well as educational programs and family support networking, including diagnosis, screening, laboratory testing and genetic counseling. Pediatric and adult patients are accepted. Additionally, we serve as the region’s Metabolic Service Team, evaluating and managing inborn errors of metabolism identified on Newborn Screening.

Pediatric Infectious Diseases

The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases has special interest and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of all pediatric infectious diseases including severe viral infections, HIV and tuberculosis.
