Welcome to Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Kobacker Center
Many children and teens struggle with severe emotional troubles such as intense anger, chronic depression and thoughts of suicide. Often, these problems can be as debilitating as physical ailments.
The Kobacker Center specializes in helping these children and their families understand the emotional and physical reasons for such problems and develop treatment options.
For more than 30 years, the Center has been working with outside resources, including the Ohio Department of Mental Health, Lucas County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, and other mental health boards in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan to provide the best care possible.
The Kobacker Center is also the site of the ACT Great Lakes Regional Center. ACT is a research-based parenting program developed and directed by the American Psychological Association to help parents and caregivers improve effective parenting methods and reduce children's aggression and behavioral problems.
The Kobacker Center turns young lives around and lets the healing begin.
