Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Many children and teens struggle with severe emotional troubles, such as intense anger, chronic depression and thoughts of suicide. Often, these problems can be as debilitating as physical ailments.

Our child and adolescent psychiatry staff at The University of Toledo Medical Center specialize in helping children with serious emotional and behavioral needs, as well as their families.

For 35 years, the psychiatry department at The University of Toledo Medical Center has been working with outside resources, including the Ohio Department of Mental Health, Lucas County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, and other mental health boards in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan to provide the best care possible.
